Working with the team at Maclyn Group, I designed this completely custom website using squarespace.com. The goal of the project was to give their website a facelift from their old, making it more visually pleasing and modern. Also, they were using a stock template before, so a unique look was requested. The website is in progress, this is just phase 1.

This Website was design while at the creative agency Maclyn Group. The team developed their new brand and then I was assigned the job of creating their new website based on the new branding. The site was created as a sales tool in order to increase awareness and showcase their portfolio of work.

After developing the Miss Chicago website, the executive director of the Miss Illinois Scholarship Association approached me and asked if I could redesign the state website, pulling from the same design styles as I create for misschicago.org. The site has much more content, so organizing the site was a priority. The old site’s content was hard to find and often only accesible if directed from the sitemap page. The new site is easy to follow and the navigation is consistent throughout.

Ah, my little project. I was named executive director of the Miss Chicago Scholarship Association late 2008. I designed and developed the new website for the big event in a matter of days. Of course, the site grew as more information and time piled on, but I wanted to create a clean and eye-catching design in hopes to recruit contestants and sponsors. The biggest attraction was Miss Photogenic, a contest where contestants submitted their photograph and bio for everyone to cast their vote for Miss Chicago’s Most Photogenic scholarship. After the pageant, I’ve been maintaining the site with updated information regarding our 2010 event and the latest news about our titleholders. Visit the site: misschicago.org
